Saltek Titanium Exhaust Manifold Stud Installation

When replacing the OEM bolts with our studs, please use an m8x1.25 thread chaser to clean up threads from old thread-locker residue left behind from the old hardware. We recommend using a nickel based anti-seize paste on the threads that penetrate into the head only. Follow the proceeding torque specs for a succesful installation.

Stud to Cylinder head:

Using a 3mm hex key, tighten stud to 5nm (3.688 ft-lbs)

Nuts to Stud

You will notice the washers have a concave on one side, please face the concave towards the manifold and the flat side towards the nut. Do not use any anti-seize or thread-locker on this. Follow the proceeding torque sequence and specs for a successful installation:

Stage 1: 12nm (8.85 Ft-lbs)

Stage 2: 15nm (11.06 Ft-lbs)

Stage 3: 30nm (22.13 Ft-lbs)

Recheck torque after stage 3 and torque to 30nm again if needed. A warped manifold can affect the final torque specs.

IMPORTANT! If for any reason the nuts are loosened, please retorque the stud to spec.
